Welcome to the weekend, my friends! This was such a fun week! I drove up to Toronto with my friend Rebecca for Hugh Jackman’s broadway show. It was AMAZING. If you were following us on Instagram, you probably caught a super fun peek into his performance. We LOVED it all. If you have the chance to catch his tour, DO IT.

ON THE BLOG this week: Chicken Cordon Bleu with Creamy White Sauce has been a family favorite almost since I started blogging. It was long past due for some new photos and this time when I made it, I snapped a few. If you haven’t tried it yet, I recommend you get this dinner on your menu plan soon.

Apple Pie Baked Oatmeal was breakfast a couple of times this week. The recipe makes a large pan of apple filled oatmeal, enough for a couple of breakfasts for most of us. It’s delicious on its own or with a dollop of whipped cream on top.

What I’m CRAVING: This Chocolate Tart by Rachel Cooks looks stunning, but the best part? It only requires four ingredients AND it’s no-bake for the hottest summer days.

This warm bacon slaw by The View from Great Island combines two of my favorites (cabbage + bacon) as a salad / side dish that I will happily eat on its own and call it a meal. What’s not to love?

My FAVORITE THING this week are these Listerine Ready! Tabs (link HERE) I just reordered another box of these. It’s as if a tiny splash of mouthwash met a mint and dreamed up the perfect combination of each. You pop it in your mouth, chew a couple of times to activate, swish to clean your whole mouth, swallow and go. The fresh mouth feeling lasts for quite a while too! I love these little mints. I am NOT a fan of mouthwash (is that TMI?) but these? Absolutely doable.

Oh! And I first tried them as a free sample with an electric toothbrush I bought last year. That’s some awesome marketing, because I’ve been hooked ever since! I wish you could try them that way too, because I’m telling you they’re kind of amazing.

What I’m READING: Sigh. Not the Danielle Steel book I recommended last week. (link HERE) I gave up. I thought it would be good enough that I could get past her writing style, but it just isn’t for me. I hope the rest of you enjoyed it more than I did!

I’m finishing the Crazy Rich Asians trilogy now and laughing at the absurdity of it all. Rich People Problems by Kevin Kwan (link HERE) started off even better than the first two books. The books are fun, easy reads that place the reader into an alternate world filled with more money and power than I ever want to experience. It’s simultaneously fascinating and appalling and I have definitely enjoyed the books.

“There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.” - Colin Powell (A timely reminder in a season where failures seem to happen more frequently than successes. We’re learning through all of it, right?)

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!
