Welcome to the weekend, my friends! I’m in NY with my friend Rebecca’s family this weekend to celebrate her oldest son’s wedding. I couldn’t be more excited to share in the fun celebration. I can only hope that I’ll be fortunate enough to score as fabulous a daughter-in-love when my boys are getting married someday.

ON THE BLOG this week: BBQ pulled pork + ground beef + bacon are combined to create these fantastic Filthy Burgers. I only make them about once a year, but every time I do I’m reminded of their awesomeness and swear I should make them more often. They’re pretty darn fantastic!

This Strawberry Rhubarb Crunch is the summer dessert I look forward to all year. Have you tried a crunch yet? It’s double the awesomeness of a crisp and completely irresistible.

I love a great pasta salad in the summer and this Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad is a kid favorite. Filled with bacon and cheddar cheese and tossed with a creamy ranch dressing, what’s not to love?

What I’m CRAVING: This Honey Chipotle Meatloaf is a family favorite. (and I just put on our menu for next week - I’ll be doubling the recipe and hoping for leftovers!) Served with a Loaded Mashed Potato Casserole, and Grilled Vegetables Salad, the whole meal is sure to be a winner.

Last but oh so not the least, this Maple. Bourbon. Brown. Butter. Peach. Pie. by Host the Toast might be the most jaw-dropping pie I’ve seen in a long time. Is anything prettier than ice cream melting over a fruit pie?

My FAVORITE THINGS this week are my new stainless straws (link HERE) It was well past time to replace the straws in our water bottles and these are fantastic. (The set comes with cleaning brushes and a storage pouch too!) Best of all, there is ZERO metallic flavor from these straws. I’ve used stainless straws and metal bottles in the past and couldn’t get past the taste. These straws are nothing like that. You’re going to love them.

What I’m READING: The Rent Collector by Camron Wright (link HERE) Set in the dumps of Cambodia, where families struggle daily just to survive, this is a surprising story of hope. I truly loved this book. I could go on and on about it, but I don’t want to spoil the story for anyone else. I highly recommend it.

“We are literature - our lives, our hopes, our desires, our despairs, our passions, our strengths, our weaknesses. Stories express our longing not only to make a difference today but to see what is possible for tomorrow. Literature has been called a handbook for the art of being human.” ― Camron Wright, The Rent Collector

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!
