Welcome to the weekend, my friends! It is so very good to be home!! I’ve spent the past few days working from home and very much enjoying the cooler weather that arrived in full force while I was out of town. The blankets are back on my front porch and my hands are wrapped around my coffee cup each morning. I love it all.

If you’re in central Ohio, what are your must-do events or must-eat foods in the fall? We are planning a fall hike in Hocking Hills, but beyond that, we haven’t made any local plans. If you have any suggestions within an hour or so of Columbus, I’d love to hear them!

ON THE BLOG this week: Slow Cooker Carnitas are a forever favorite with my family. I reshot our beloved recipe this week and we’ve been eating this pork over Chipotle Lime Rice, in Street Tacos, and simply by itself all week long.

This Incredible Pumpkin Mousse is creamy, fluffy, melt in your mouth perfection and it is the pumpkin dessert that everyone talks about each year. Every time I make it, another die-hard pumpkin-hater falls prey to its awesomeness.

I shared the details of our trip to Ecuador. Many of you have messaged me to ask how it all went - in a nutshell? It really was unforgettable. Writing the post and looking through the photos from the comfort of my own home brought me to tears more than once. What an incredible experience it has been and how amazing it is to be back home now with a changed perspective.

I’ve had the best time this week seeing The Weeknight Dessert Cookbook in your hands at last! (link HERE) If you’ve shared it on Instagram, be sure to tag me so that I will see it there too.

What I’m CRAVING: I’ve been making Lasagna Soup for years and years now and I just realized it isn’t on the blog! My recipe is very similar to this one by Farmgirl Dabbles. (Although I haven’t tried it with the ricotta - maybe I’ll try that next time!)

My FAVORITE THINGS this week are these facial cleansing wipes (link HERE) I’ve been using this same brand for years now and they’re a lifesaver when traveling. At the end of a long day, more times than not, I just can’t find the energy to wash my face. These wipes are a face-saver and they feel awesome too! They’re both super soft and moist enough to do a great job cleaning all the make-up and dirt - even waterproof mascara off my face.

What I’m READING: Stories I Only Tell My Friends: An Autobiography by Rob Lowe (link HERE) I’ve been a fan of Rob Lowe’s for a while and I suspect I’ll close the book next week a bigger fan than ever. FYI - This isn’t an autobiography filled with celebrity gossip or anything like that. It turns out that Rob Lowe is a great storyteller. I’m glad I picked this one up.

“I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” ― L. M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!
