Welcome to the weekend, my friends! I’m cozied up in pajamas and my Grandma sweater (link HERE if you want to be warm and cozy with me) for today. We have friends coming over tonight, so I have at least 10 hours of cozy cooking and writing before I need to put on real clothes and be sociable.

By the kids’ request, I’m making Slow-Cooker {Busy Day} Potato Soup and this Five Bean Steak and Sausage Chili. It’s going to be a tasty kind of night.

SAVE THE DATE for one week from today! I’ll be in Cedar & Thread on Saturday, November 16 between 11am-2pm. I’m super excited to spend the afternoon at my favorite store and I can hardly wait to meet those of you who are local!

ON THE BLOG this week: With tart cranberries, sweet spiced cake, this Winter Spice Cranberry Cake is an absolutely perfect cake that takes very little effort to make. Many of you have already made it and LOVED it!

You know those foods that you taste once and then you simply can’t get it out of your mind? This Rosemary Sausage Gravy is one of those foods. You’ll find yourself remembering it (and craving it again!) at all hours of the day.

Oatmeal is anything but boring when it’s made into Baked Oatmeal Cups. These oatmeal cups are like warm, soft and chewy oatmeal cookies designed to be eaten for breakfast.

What I’m CRAVING: This Farmhouse Apple Flip from Plowing Through Life caught my eye this week and I can’t wait to try it. Cupcakes and Kale Chips shared the Monster Cookie Bars from The Weeknight Dessert Cookbook this week and I’m craving them all over again.

My FAVORITE THING this week is my new Christmas tree skirt (link HERE) I looked all over the place and could not find a reasonably priced option for something to basically just hide the bottom of the tree and stack gifts on. This faux fur skirt is soooo soft and bright and I love it. I bought the plain white one and I’m thrilled with it - especially for the $22 price!

What I’m WATCHING: All the Christmas movies! I know it’s earlier, but I can’t get enough of them. What are YOUR favorites?? I would happily watch one every day until Christmas if I had that many!

What I’m READING: I’m re-reading the Myron Bolitar series by Harlan Coben (link HERE) these books aren’t for everyone, but man, they make me laugh (not comedies though!) and hold my attention even when I just have a few minutes to read. It’s been quite a while since I read them, so they’re definitely dated, but they’re still fun. If you want to try them out, start with the first one (link HERE) - vs buying the whole set.

Just a heads up, there’s some vigilante justice in the series and some of the books have darker themes. Despite that, they are fairly light reads and I enjoy them.

I cannot endure to waste anything so precious as autumnal sunshine by staying in the house. So I have spent almost all the daylight hours in the open air. - Nathaniel Hawthorne

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!
