Welcome to the weekend, my friends! Happy Thanksgiving week to everyone here in the states!! We’re pretty excited about our first Thanksgiving here in Ohio. We’ll be celebrating on our own this year and I'm looking forward to cooking and baking all of our favorites this week.
I'm hoping to spend the long weekend with my feet up on the couch and I couldn’t be happier about that. I might do some Christmas shopping from home, but I am fairly certain I won't be leaving my cozy house.

Heads up, if you still have some Christmas shopping to do, all three of my cookbooks are on sale right now (link HERE) and they’d make a pretty cool

ON THE BLOG this week: How many waffle toppings can you think of off the top of your head? My family has a well-established weakness for waffles and with that comes a weakness for all the awesome ways that you can top a hot crisp freshly made waffle. Check out all of our favorite Waffle Toppings.

Sweet and tender corn simmers in a rich cream sauce to make Crock Pot Creamed Corn. It is an unforgettable side dish like no other creamed corn I’ve ever tasted.

If the perfect slice of cinnamon toast met Pecan Sandies, these Cinnamon Pecan Shortbread Bars would be the result. This is a tender shortbread, filled with pecans, and then generously topped with cinnamon sugar.

What I’m CRAVING: This Cheesy Garlic Parmesan Spaghetti Squash by Peas and Crayons looks so good. And it would be delicious with this Creamy Lemon Garlic Chicken by Crunchy Creamy Sweet.

My FAVORITE THINGS this week are my slippers. I had no idea when we moved to Ohio that I would be living in a pair of slippers on a daily basis. (link HERE) I’ve had these for a few years now and they have a super soft memory foam sole that doesn’t go flat.

I’d love a similar bootie style slipper that will keep my ankles warm too - and that won’t slide off my feet on the stairs. I’ve tried super cheap slippers and ridiculously pricey ones that I returned almost as soon as they arrived at my house. So, if you have any slipper suggestions, I’d love to hear them!

What I’m WATCHING: Holiday In The Wild (This one is a Netflix original.) Was it predictable? Absolutely. Is it a cheesy feel-good movie? Definitely. And since I am all in favor of cheesy feel-good Christmas movies, this one made me grin.

What I’m READING: I said I wasn’t going to recommend any more books until I’d finished them, and we’re 0-2 so far this week. I’m in the middle of a couple of new ones and I’m less than impressed. I’ve never put down so many books halfway through as I have this year.

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!
