Welcome to the weekend, my friends! We have just a few more days until Christmas (and Hanukkah starts tomorrow! - hey sis, we’re thinking of you guys!) are you ready for all of it? I’m looking forward to several days of rest and fun. My most exciting plan for the coming week is to do some baking and watch more Christmas movies. It sounds absolutely glorious, doesn’t it?

ON THE BLOG this week: Your favorite trail mix has been transformed into the ultimate candy bar in this Fruit and Nut Chocolate Bark with swirled layers of white and dark chocolate, studded with dried fruits, and crunchy nuts. Salty, sweet, crunchy, chewy, and CHOCOLATE are all covered in this beautiful and easily adaptable holiday treat.

I’m not exaggerating when I say this recipe for rich, creamy Peanut Butter Fudge makes the best peanut butter fudge I’ve ever tasted. It’s also so easy to make, you might not believe it until you see it come together in your own kitchen. With just four ingredients, this is about to be one of your favorite holiday treats!

Have you ever tasted a Chocolate Covered Clementine? You use the Homemade Magic Shell coating to make them, so it’s a win-win kind of recipe. Your ice cream is going to be very happy and so will your oranges!

What I’m CRAVING: My friend Aimee’s Broccoli Cheese Soup is on my meal plan for next week. My kids don’t love broccoli most of the time, but they sure do love Cheddar Broccoli Soup. I’ll be baking a couple of different bread recipes from Rebecca’s new cookbook (link HERE) to go along with our soup too!

My FAVORITE THING this week is my new purse hook for the car (link HERE). This hook is ridiculously handy. It hooks on the bar for the headrest (it can go in front or in back of the seat) Bonus - there are 4 hooks in the package for this crazy low price, so your friends are going to love these as well.

What I’m WATCHING: Christmas Pen Pals (link HERE) This movie was a really fun one with surprisingly good acting for a Christmas movie! (I know, I know, there’s an acceptable amount of cheesiness in most Christmas movies, but I’m just about maxed out on that this year.) Sarah Drew (aka April Kepner from Grey’s) and Michael Gross did such a good job with their roles.

What I’m READING: The Masterpiece by Francine Rivers (link HERE) If you enjoy books on faith and love, this is one to add to your reading list. I did find this one to be more predictable than some of her other books, but it was still a great read.

“We are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmastime.” - Laura Ingalls Wilder

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!

Mary
