Welcome to the weekend, my friends! I’m giddy with excitement today because my sister Jenny is on a flight to visit us as I write this. I can hardly wait to introduce her to everything I love about Ohio! You can check out a lot of our favorite places by following along on Instagram.

ON THE BLOG this week: The easiest Slow Cooker Oatmeal you’ll ever make is filled with raisins and almonds and a sprinkling of brown sugar and spices. We love it and there’s never a spoonful left when I make it.

This Creamy Stovetop Mac and Cheese has been a family favorite ever since I made it for the first time. At least point I’ve probably made it more than a dozen times and I’m so happy to finally be sharing it! (Best of all, it doesn’t take any longer to make than the boxed stuff!)

What I’m CRAVING: So many vegetables! Basically, if it’s green, I want to eat it right now. I just bought a big bag of Brussels sprouts to roast this weekend along with some other vegetables. (If you’d told me years ago that Brussels sprouts would someday be one of my favorite foods - I wouldn’t have believed you!)

I really need to try my friend Gina’s recipe for Brussels Sprouts Gratin. Doesn’t it sounds amazing?

My FAVORITE THINGS this week are these Haribo Gummi Roulettes (link HERE) And thanks to my friend Rebecca I learned that I can order them on Amazon and the price is great. (Or maybe I shouldn’t really be thanking her?!) I just re-ordered them and realized it’s the fifth time I’ve ordered a box of these candies in the past couple years. Haribo really does make the best gummies ever.

What I’m READING: Recursion by Blake Crouch (link HERE) This is a great read. Sci-Fi at it’s most engrossing and unbelievable best. It took me a few pages to really get pulled into this one, but wow. Once I was hooked, I could not put it down. I stayed up way too late finishing this one and I’ve already put another book by this author on hold at my library.

Just a heads up, this book is sci-fi, no horror at all. However, I think that some of this author’s other work falls under horror. (Not my style at all.) So, check out the reviews first, if you’re going to read more of his work.

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!
