Welcome to the weekend, my friends! I’m looking forward to a whole lot of downtime this weekend and I couldn’t be more excited about it. It has been a week when just the thought of spending hours on the couch is enough to make me grin. Here’s to a lazy Sunday!

ON THE BLOG this week: Red potatoes, chicken, carrots, broccoli, and spinach, along with a bit of broth and spices make a Chicken Vegetable Soup that is perfect for a rainy day. This soup is also perfect for feeding family members (or yourself!) when under the weather.

Tender buttery Garlic Steak Bites are crisp on the edges and juicy inside with just a few minutes of cooking time. I’ve been hooked on cooking steak bites for a few years now.

Homemade Steak Sauce is tangy, barely sweetened, and just a little bit smoky. Perfect for steak dipping and burger topping, this sauce is all the best parts of A-1 and Heinz 57 sauce flavors, made at home.

What I’m CRAVING: I’ve been obsessed with Dan Dan Noodles ever since I tried them last year. They’re my go-to order every time we eat out at an Asian place. I can’t wait to try making them myself. Your recipe looks awesome, Sue!

My FAVORITE THINGS this week are these insulated tortilla warmers. (link HERE) There’s nothing better than warming tortillas and actually having them stay warm until you’re ready to eat. It’s a small thing, but it makes me happy.

What I’m WATCHING: Lego Masters (link HERE) oh my goodness, I’m as hooked on this show as my youngest son is. The creations the builders come up with are mind-boggling.

What I’m READING: Beyond Summer by Lisa Wingate (link HERE) This is the third book in the Blue Sky Hill Series (link HERE). It’s every bit as good as the first two. While this wasn’t my favorite book, it was a heartwarming read nonetheless. There are more characters in this book than the others and like her other books each section is labeled by the characters name. This isn’t my favorite writing style, but I still enjoyed the book. I’m starting the fourth and last book of this series now.

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!
