Welcome to the weekend, my friends! Congratulations to Ann, Sue, Molly, Yvonne, Brian, Brenda, Debra, Pam, Shira, and Pete! They were the lucky recipients of Starbucks gift cards to celebrate the 100th Little Things Newsletter last weekend.

So many of you took the time to write me a note and I enjoyed reading every single one. I wish I could have replied to them all! Please know that I appreciate it so much. You made my weekend.

This Bacon, Bleu Cheese, and Shrimp Chopped Salad was the best lunch I had this week. I loved every single bite and I already picked up more shrimp so that I can make it again.

I have the ultimate weekend breakfast for you today. If you haven’t tried a savory waffle yet, these Cheddar Chive Waffles with Sausage Gravy are going to rock your breakfast world. Yes, that is every bit as delicious as it sounds. My mouth actually waters just typing it out. So, do yourself a favor and try it asap.

What I’m CRAVING: This Lemon Parsley Pasta with Asparagus and Mushrooms from Miss in the Kitchen, these Cheddar Sausage Biscuits (I actually made these again today!) from Dinners Dishes and Desserts, this Cinnamon Sour Cream Coffee Cake from Life’s Ambrosia, and this Southwest Chicken Skillet from Lemons for Lulu.

My FAVORITE THING this week is this pair of Kuhn Rikon kitchen scissors (link HERE). I’ve had mine for almost ten years now and I use them multiple times a day. These scissors are truly a work horse. They were so much more expensive when I first got them, but I noticed the other day that they are on sale on Amazon for $12. (I could’ve sworn they were $30-40+ last time I looked!) I like them so much I’ve bought them for gifts and I have the exact same pair in our camper now too.

What I’m READING: Encyclopedia Brown, Boy Detective (link HERE) by Donald J. Sobol. I introduced my 8 year old son to Encyclopedia Brown this week and he’s been reading them aloud. I’m enjoying the books as much now as I did 30 years ago. It’s so much fun to share my childhood books with my kids. I’d love to know what some of your favorite childhood books were!

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” – Dr. Seuss

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!
