Welcome to the weekend, my friends! If you’re hanging out with me on Facebook, you might remember that this happened a couple weeks ago. Trying new things might be a bit scary, but that turned out to be a whole lot of fun. I'm filing this particular moment under, "if you'd told me 5 years ago that I'd agree to do anything on live TV, I'd have laughed. Hard."

And, because the first time didn’t kill me, I’ll be back on Good Morning, Arizona tomorrow morning (sharing another recipe from the new cookbook) between 9:45-10am. So, if you have a couple minutes, check it out. (If you aren’t local, and you’re so inclined, you can watch live on the 3TV app.) I’ll be sharing some fun pool party foods on Sunday.

If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you might have noticed that we’re gearing up for a long road trip this summer. I’ll spend this week packing and organizing and setting things up for the long haul in the fifth wheel. I can hardly wait!

We will be hitting the road a week from today, so if you haven’t already sent me your road trip travel tips and RV travel tips, please send them to me. I need all the help I can get. You can follow along with our trip (and send me all your travel tips too!) via Instagram stories.

On the blog this week, I shared a kid and adult favorite recipe for BBQ Chicken Nachos. For a real treat top those nachos with Southern Style Coleslaw. You won’t regret it!

What I’m CRAVING: This Blackberry Bacon and Egg Salad with Maple Dijon Vinaigrette by Perry’s Plate, this Savory French Toast Bake by Valerie’s Kitchen, the Chicken and Zucchini Skillet by Family Food on the Table, and these Perfect Every Time Brownies by Wishes and Dishes.

My FAVORITE THING this week is this board game (link HERE). I’ve been playing Ticket To Ride for a few years now and it’s still one of my favorites. I love a semi-laid-back game that requires a little bit of strategy, but not so much that you can’t chat and have a conversation while playing. This game fits that description perfectly. It’s the game that I reach for most often when hanging out with my sisters. Sean and the boys enjoy it as well, but it’s a personal favorite for me.

What I’m WATCHING: My cousin has been visiting us this week and I introduced her to The Matrix (link HERE). Oh my GOODNESS. I had almost forgotten what a great movie it is. I love movies with an unexpected story line and that is one of the best.

What I’m READING: 642 Things To Write About by 826 Valencia (link HERE). This book is filled with some of the best creative writing prompts I’ve found. My boys have wrapped up their school year and we’re using this book for writing time over the summer. It’s made for a lot of laughs as they tackle random topics and come up with their stories each day.

“Books are the plane, and the train, and the road. They are the destination, and the journey. They are home.” ― Anna Quindlen

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!
