Welcome to the weekend, my friends! We are back on the road this morning with the fifth wheel behind us as we head to Greer, AZ for our annual family camping trip. There will be almost 30 of us camping together this year and we’re all praying for less than constant rain.

For as long as I can remember we’ve met somewhere in between Phoenix, AZ and Albuquerque, NM with as many of my seven siblings and all of our families as can make it. And for as long as I can remember, the monsoons have poured on us. You might think that we’d choose a different time of year, but in the Arizona? The monsoon rains hit regularly through July and August and when you live in the Southwest, you are simply grateful for the rain whenever it hits.

Want a peek at our past family camping trips, including a few memorable floods? (And a trip down memory lane when my boys were so much smaller??) You can check them all out HERE.

On the blog this week: Dill Pickle and Bacon Potato Salad has rapidly become a new favorite over here. Cookies and Cream Ice Cream has been churning on counter multiple times lately. Did you grow up eating GORP? Is this something you make now? We love it and it’s a staple in our pantry.

What I’m CRAVING: Watermelon Feta Salad with Balsamic Glaze by The Baker Mama looks deliciously refreshing. Creamy Parmesan Orzo with Chicken and Asparagus by Craving Home Cooked needs to be dinner soon. And this Blueberry Slab Pie with Crumb Topping by Hoosier Homemade is calling my name.

My FAVORITE THING this week is the gigantic Sudoku puzzle book (link HERE) that we took on our long road trip. My 12 & 14 year olds spent endless hours working on these puzzles and they’re still going strong with it.

What I’m LISTENING to: Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack (link HERE) and it’s been on repeat for a while now. There are sooooo many fun songs and the whole family is loving it.

What I’m READING: As You Wish (link HERE) by Jude Deveraux. I read this book last week and it was a fun and very light read, perfect for summer vacation. Three women are given the chance to change their lives and it’s fun to imagine what/if you might do differently given the chance. This is the first book I’ve read by this author (one of you recommended reading this one - so, thank you!) and I’ll definitely be checking out more of her books.

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!
