Welcome to the weekend, my friends! I woke up at sea this morning and the view is beyond lovely. Today is my 41st birthday and I can not think of a better way to spend the day. We were in Edinburgh, Scotland yesterday (did you catch it on Instagram?) and tomorrow we will be in Giverny and Rouen, France.

I have a massage scheduled for this morning and a whole lot of lovely laziness planned for the rest of the day. I’ve never felt so spoiled in my life. (Plus, a HUGE thank you to Princess Cruises for the fabulous day too!)

ON THE BLOG this week: That Time I Turned 40. Twice. Yeah… that happened and I’m still not entirely sure how it happened. You can read all about it on the blog and feel free to laugh at my expense.

Also, I shared The Birthday Project once again because I still love it every bit as much as we did when we participated in the project for the first time six years ago.

What I’m CRAVING: Hot cups of cocoa with plenty of frothy steamed milk. I’ve enjoyed the chilly mornings so very much while we’ve been in Europe. It’s certainly going to be a rude return to the desert and 112 degrees again next week.

My FAVORITE THING this week is this sling backpack. (link HERE). Sean has carried this all over the place for the last two weeks and while it has a slim profile and is a fairly small bag in comparison to traditional backpacks, it’s held everything we’ve needed for a day on the go.

From a small umbrella to water bottles, a camera, portable charger, our kindles for bus rides, sunglasses, and more: it all fits easily with room to spare for small purchases along the way. (oh! I’ve carried it as well and it’s very comfortable!)

What I’m WATCHING: Avengers: Infinity War (link HERE) is on my list to watch this weekend. Princess Cruises does a Movies Under the Stars complete with hot popcorn and blankets on the lounge chairs at night or cookies and milk during the day. What’s not to love? I was giddy when I saw that they’d be showing the Avengers movie during our cruise.

What I’m READING: The Long Way Gone (link HERE) by Charles Martin. I finished this one this week and of course, I loved it. There hasn’t been a Charles Martin book yet that I didn’t enjoy reading.

“Our happiest moments as tourists always seem to come when we stumble upon one thing while in pursuit of something else.” — Lawrence Block

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!
