Welcome to the weekend, my friends! Sean and I are having so much fun in Ohio and it’s been every bit as much fun sharing it with all of you over on Instagram. You can peek at the towns we’ve visited HERE.

We were lucky enough to catch the end of fall for our visit and the leaves are breathtaking. I’ve probably taken approximately 197 photos of just the leaves. Everywhere I turn there’s another gorgeous tree to stop me in my tracks. For those of you who live in colder climates, it’s probably not quite this exciting, but for us? We’re loving every crisp cool rainy moment.

I can hardly wait to experience our first snowfall next year. Enough years spent in the desert makes this a pretty exciting new adventure for me.

ON THE BLOG this week: I finally shared the recipe for these Cornbread Waffles. Topped with Pulled Pork and Coleslaw they’ve been my dinner several days in a row. The waffles are also pretty awesome with a bowl of chili.

Have you heard of Dill Pickle Soup? Have you tried it?? Dill Pickle Soup is a creamy, potato chowder style soup, loaded with dill pickles and plenty of flavor. I can pretty much guarantee that you’ve never tasted anything like this!

What I’m CRAVING: Have you ever seen a Chicken Parmesan Dip? This one by Mildly Meandering caught my eye this week and sounds pretty darn delicious. I can’t wait to play with this idea. This Cranberry Cherry Pie by The Food Charlatan looks incredible. That pie filling is just beautiful.

My FAVORITE THING this week is this caramel tea (link HERE). When the weather cools off, I reach for hot tea more often than cold drinks and this tea has been a favorite for a long time.

What I’m READING: Send Down the Rain (link HERE) by Charles Martin. I finished this one and as always with his books, it did not disappoint. Have I mentioned often enough how much I enjoy Charles Martin’s books? Yes? That’s what I thought.

“Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.” - Charles W. Eliot

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!

Mary
