Welcome to the weekend, my friends! What are your plans? I’m planning to spend much of today working (don’t feel sad for me, I LOVE this job!) because I know I’ll be taking a whole lot of time off work later this month. I have so many recipes I want to share with you and I don’t want to miss out on that just because we’re busy packing and moving.

Speaking of that, is there anything you’d particularly like to see on Barefeet In The Kitchen over the next couple months? I’m working on the calendar for March and I still have some spaces to fill in with delicious eats!

ON THE BLOG this week: Creamy White Chicken Chili is going to be on our dinner menu again next week. With chicken in every bite, creamy white beans, a light and creamy soup base and some green chile for heat, my family loves this recipe.

I made this Cabbage and Sausage Skillet from Gina’s new cookbook, One and Done, this week. Like the other Skinnytaste cookbooks, this is a great one. I have so many more recipes flagged to try after we get settled in Ohio.

What I’m CRAVING: These Orange and Dark Chocolate Cookies from The Noshery sound amazing. I love that chocolate + orange combination. This Dark Chocolate Orange Ice Cream is one of our favorites.

My FAVORITE THINGS this week are my tiny travel bottles (link HERE) I’ve been using these cheap little bottles for the past 8 months for all of my travels and I can’t praise them highly enough. I love them! I have tried so many different containers to hold my products when traveling and these are the best ever. They are really small, holding plenty of product for travel, without being bulky. They’re sturdy enough that I’ve never had one break and I’ve never had a leak either. Not one.

What I’m LISTENING to: George Strait (link HERE) yes, country music. My youngest son has decided that he really likes country music, so we’ve been listening to this album and classic country on Pandora while we pack boxes this week. I listened to these songs for years and they bringing back many happy memories. (Odds are good, I’ll never be a big fan of country music again, but the songs are making me smile this week.)

What I’m READING: Rooster Bar by John Grisham (link HERE) I’m sorry to say it, but what has happened to Grisham’s writing? Last week I mentioned another book by Grisham and while I did finish it, it wound up being a dud. And this one? It felt like more of a rant, with unlikable characters and no real suspense at all. I have one more Grisham book on my tablet and at this point, I’m doubtful I’ll bother reading it. What a disappointment.

“There are all kinds of happy endings.” - Eve Lapin

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!
