Welcome to the weekend, my friends! This particular weekend is all about packing my closet and sorting clothes. It’s guaranteed thrills a minute over here. Any volunteers to come work with me? No? That’s what I thought. It may not be thrilling work, but dreams of Ohio are fueling my happiness today. 22 days and counting!

ON THE BLOG this week: These Polish Pierogies have been crazy popular this week for a good reason. They’re easier to make than you might think and once you’ve tasted homemade pierogies? I’m betting you will love them as much as my family does.

Southwestern Roast Beef is loaded with spicy flavors and cooked until tender enough to slice with a fork. And the leftovers, if you’re fortunate enough to have them, make a fantastic sandwich.

For a sweet bite after dinner, or maybe for breakfast with a cup of coffee, this Banana Bundt Cake with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting is just what you need.

Have you pinned this steak bite recipe yet? They’re buttery, fork tender, absolutely perfect bites of steak!

What I’m CRAVING: My friend Tricia’s Chicken Parmesan Sliders are perfect for game day. And as if we need an excuse, my friend Sue dished up 15 Excuses to Have Hot Cheesy Dip for Dinner. This is my kind of meal!

My FAVORITE THING this week is this dough whisk (link HERE). It may not be designed for stirring together waffles and pancakes, but it is the best thing ever for helping with these recipes. While a traditional whisk often forms clumps between the tines, and a simple spoon doesn’t always mix things perfectly, much like Goldilocks this whisk is just right.

What I’m READING: Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones by James Clear (link HERE) Wow. This book. I’ve read through it twice now in the past two weeks. I’ve highlighted so many passages in this book, it’s almost ridiculous. I’ve taken notes, made plans, and I’m so happily motivated right now I’m grinning. I’m telling you now that this approach to improving any aspect of your life makes it look 1000% doable.

If you know me at all, you are quite possibly shaking your head right now at the thought of ME loving a book that falls into the self-help category. This just isn’t my thing most of the time. (and yes, I’ve read plenty of them that I’ve never bothered to share in a newsletter. Self help, or business, or goal setting type books typically do not much more than make me roll my eyes.)

In a nutshell, Atomic Habits puts into words common sense practices that absolutely resonate with my personality and work practices. (And yes, the book is worthy of three paragraphs!)

“Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become.” - James Clear

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!

Mary
