Welcome to the weekend, my friends! The move date is getting closer by the minute. Two weeks from today we’ll be loading the moving truck. The wait has felt so very long and now the last couple months have flown by. We’re almost ready and if it’s possible, I am even more excited.

ON THE BLOG this week: Do you hate Brussels sprouts? I was a hater for a looooong time - right up until I tried Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Apples and Bacon. This recipe has turned many Brussels haters into fans of the little green vegetable.

These incredibly simple skillet pork chops blew my mind the first time I made them. You know those meals that you make and even though you are the one who cooked everything, you still can’t believe it came out of your kitchen?

Also, if you haven’t yet checked it out, you can read more about my experience with Butcher Box at the bottom of the pork chop post just above the recipe card.

What I’m CRAVING: These Sausage Stuffed Jalapenos by Taste and Tell are sure to thrill my oldest son and this Brown Butter Asparagus with Balsamic by The Food Charlatan needs to happen very soon. Doesn’t that just sound incredible?

My FAVORITE THING this week is my clipboard (link HERE). I have so many lists going these days, between our move, daily work, and just making sure that we’re eating our way through the pantry and freezer. As a result, this clipboard is at my side all day long. I still swear by Evernote and Asana for keeping my life organized, but sometimes you just need paper and pen.

What I’m WATCHING: LOST (link HERE) Wow. It’s been long enough since I finished this series, it’s exciting all over again. I introduced my oldest son to the first episode a few nights ago and he’s already hooked. Did you watch Lost when it was on the air? Or did you binge watch later on Netflix? Anyone reading this who hasn’t seen it? If you like exciting dramas with some mystery, a hint of supernatural suspense, and a bit of suspense to them, this show is for you.

What I’m READING: The Lightkeeper’s Daughter by Jean E. Pendziwol (link HERE) This book was recommended by a few of you over the past month and it didn’t disappoint. It took a few chapters to really draw me in, but then I had trouble putting it down at night. There are two simultaneous storylines in this book and they are equally interesting. (That almost never happens!) I found myself thinking back to the characters through the week and wishing for more of the book to read. I highly recommend this book.

“I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book! -- When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.” ― Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!
