Welcome to the weekend, my friends! We’re headed out to play a bit today and we are all pretty excited about that. (There’s nothing like a few weeks of packing, moving, and unpacking boxes to make a day out of the house look super fun and exciting.) So many people have told us that we must check out COSI (Center of Science and Industry) the big science museum in Columbus. So, we’re headed over there now to explore a bit.

ON THE BLOG this week: One of my favorite make-ahead pasta salads, this garlicky Spinach Pasta Salad. This is such a fresh and flavorful salad, people ask for the recipe every time I take it anywhere. If you haven’t tried it yet, you should. It’s delicious.

Lemon Angel Pie, oh my. This is one of those desserts that will leave you thinking about it hours and days later. I’ve made it countless times over the past few years and I’m looking forward to making it again this weekend. For as long as I can remember, lemon meringue pie was my favorite, but then one day, I tasted Leigh Anne’s Lemon Angel Pie. It’s simply amazing.

What I’m CRAVING: SOUP. For the first time in my life, it’s chilly in March and I’m all over the warm bowls of soup. This week I’m planning to make the Loaded Baked Potato Soup (I didn’t get to it last week) along with this Spicy Five Bean Chili with Steak and Sausage. These Crack Chicken Stuffed Peppers by My Crazy Good Life and this Ham, Spinach, and Cheese Egg Boat by Rachel Cooks need to happen as well.

My FAVORITE THING this week is my new Roomba. (link HERE). I promise to stop linking to pricey things soon, but with the move we’ve upgraded a few things and this vacuum? WOW. I’ll be honest and admit that I rolled my eyes at it a bit when it first came out years ago. Now? Having tried it? I’m sold.

The Roomba is admittedly noisier than I expected. That said, I’m not sure why I thought a vacuum cleaner was going to cruise around discreetly and without us noticing it doing it’s work. Ha. We programmed ours to run while the kids are doing their school work and so far, it’s been great. You can bet that I’ll update you again on how much we are liking it (and whether I still think it’s worth it) 6 months and a year from now.

What I’m READING: I read Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen (link HERE) this week. (Thanks for the recommendation, Henny!) I enjoyed this one. It was a fun escape from reality complete with a magical garden and sisters learning to be friends. I’ve already downloaded another book (link HERE) by the same author for my trip next week. We’ll see if I can wait that long to start it!

“Mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam, Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home.” - John Howard Payne

Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!
